DUT exhibition opened last week on Thursday 18th November, to high levels of nervous energy (mainly from my side!). For a change from the usual 2-day exhibition pin-up time, our exhibitors pinned up 2 hours beforehand!! And every inch of the boardroom was covered. What vuma!
The transformation of 160 Bulwer from blank walls to a jungle of visual optimism was astounding. To whet your appetite: concepts of watchtowers, fish farming and “bottom-up” architecture are just some of the students’ explorations. And don’t miss the Des-Baker award-winning Urban Evolution project, which investigates skyward-development and leaves Moses Mabhida Stadium a petri of tropical decay.
The exhibition will run at the KZNIA until the end of November. Opening hours: 8am to 4pm. Get there while you can!
